Judge prospones T.I's hearing!

Atlanta rapper T.I. must wait another six weeks before trying to convince a judge to throw out key evidence obtained against him in October when he was arrested on federal firearms charges.

U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman postponed a suppression hearing, initially scheduled for Thursday, until Feb. 19. T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., was arrested Oct. 13, just hours before the BET Hip-Hop Awards ceremony in Atlanta for allegedly trying to buy machine guns and silencers in a Midtown parking lot.

In November, Harris' legal team filed court motions contending the search of Harris' vehicle on the afternoon of his arrest was illegal because it was conducted without "a warrant, consent or probable cause." As a result, "all evidence obtained in the searches and all statements as well as fruits thereof must be suppressed," the motion said.

If Harris' lawyers prevail in this motion, a large part of the government's case will be gutted.

Harris, who has pleaded not guilty, was released pending trial on a $3 million bond, under strict conditions that include home confinement.

Forget Beyonce and Jay-Z, T.I. & Tiny are hip-hop’s real Bonnie & Clyde! What other couple do you know was taken down by the ATF and FBI and are still going strong? All jokes aside, these two went through a lot this year with the lost of their daughter but kept moving forward.

Tiny made many appearances with her man in ‘07, from his album parties to his movie releases - she stood by his side. Now with T.I.’s upcoming court date on weapons charges (among other things) we can just say that she is a true ‘ride or die’ chick.

T.I. was arrested on October 13 and charged with multiple weapons violations. A judge released T.I. on bond with strict conditions which include home confinement and 24/7 monitoring.T.I. shares how he maintains his fast-paced lifestyle, his plans to marry his girlfriend Tiny, staying out of trouble, his friendship with Suge Knight and Jay-Z, and retiring from rap.

Whats happening?

Welcome to StreetCred.com. I know alot of people are concerned given the current situation. And I want to say thank you, you know, for all the prayers and support coming from my fans and my supporters. You know, its a very trying time right now, but I want to let everybody know that I pled not guilty and I gotta stress my innocence, you know, to everyone out there whos listening! And I look forward to being exonerated on all charges. And I say that with the utmost sincerity. I cant stress that enough to ya, ya dig.

I'd really like to say thank you to my lawyers, Dwight Thomas, Steve Sadow, Ed Garland, and Don Samuels. And thank you to the judge for even allowing me the privilege of being on house arrest and being here instead of, you know, the clear alternative. I just wanna tell everybody man, dont even believe every thang you see on the news, dont believe every thang you read in the papers, ya dig that.

I just wanted to to give you a brief message, you know, telling you how much I love you, how much I cant wait to get back out there. The good thang is man, you know, I got a lot time on my hands; doing a lot of reading, doing a lot of writing, working on my next album, its called Paper Trail. Oh and speaking of Paper Trail, extra special thank youto the Grand Hustle family and the Atlantic Records family. Man we gonna get thru this, you know what Im saying...to whom much is given, even more is required. You know what Im saying. God will never take you to...what he cant take you through.

So, Im just listening to what God got to say right now. And that's what Im doing, Im being still...I'm being quiet and I'm being still. T.I drops bid for thanksgiving celebration!

T.I., born Clifford Harris, dropped the request today (November 8), citing strong opposition from prosecutors handling the high profile case.

Prosecutors claimed that T.I. was seeking special treatment and said that since his release, he has submitted a list with 95 names, making it difficult for court officials to conduct background checks on each individual.

The 27-year-old rapper is charged with illegally purchasing three machine guns and two silences in an Atlanta parking lot, hours before the BET Awards on October 13.

He pleaded not guilty to three charges of illegally possessing silencers and machine guns.

T.I. was released on $3 million dollars bond on October 26.

Rapper T.I request to host Thanksgiving dinner!

Rapper T.I. who is currently on house arrest for federal weapons violations has asked the judge who put him there to allow him to host a Thanksgiving dinner at his sprawling Jonesboro mansion.
T.I. filed the motion Tuesday (Nov . 6) along with an additional request asking that cleaners be allowed to come in and care for his yard, pool and home.As per his bond conditions, Judge Alan Baverman has said that the rapper is only allowed three pre-approved visitors at a time.Should Judge Baverman approve the conditions, T.I. would need to pay for additional guards for the dinner and he would only be able to serve non alcoholic beverages. Rapper T.I. stopped by the Frank and Wanda Morning show (WVEE) back in July and he had some interesting words to say about loyalty. Said T.I.: "If you notice everybody who's around me has been around me. Everybody. You know what I'm saying? You ain't seen me with no new faces since "I'm Serious"... from security down."

If T.I. was reading man, he would no doubt know the familiar mantra from the book "The Art of War" - keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Sometimes you have to keep tabs on your enemies more so than your friends. If you don't hear from them in a few days, they might be in temporary federal custody getting fitted for a wire.

T.I's Bodyguard considers changing his testimony!

November 02, 2007. The criminal case against T.I. may not be as strong as it once looked. That's because MediaTakeOut.com has exclusively learned that the prosecution's star witness may no longer be willing to testify.

A person familiar with the case agreed to speak exclusively to MediaTakeOut.com on the condition of anonymity. And according to that person, TI's bodyguard is seriously contemplating changing his testimony. The insider explains, "I spoke with [T.I.'s bodyguard] and he's not sure that he's willing to go through with this ... He doesn't want to be the one responsible for putting [T.I.] in prison." The source adds, "There's a lot of pressure on him to keep quiet .... and I think it's getting to him."

But TI's not out of the woods yet. MediaTakeOut.com spoke with another person close to the case who claims that the feds could prosecute even without the bodyguard's testimony. That person explained, "Federal prosecutors have more than just the testimony of [T.I.'s bodyguard]. They have recorded conversations and physical evidence." But the insider added, "That being said, if [the bodyguard] changed his testimony, it would be a serious blow to the prosecution's case."

Clifford Harris, aka T.I., will be confined to the new mansion he paid over $3 million for last year. The mansion located in Jonesboro, is a 3-story 6 bedroom, 8 bath mansion that sits on 1.7 acres offering stunning lake views, a swimming pool, dock and boathouse. It will afford him more room and luxury than the smaller residence that the feds ran up in 2 weeks ago in search of guns.

Earlier, I incorrectly stated that T.I.'s mom was living in his former digs. The truth is it isn't clear whether the judge ordered her out of the mansion or T.I.'s former home. What is known is that T.I. couldn't return to that residence since the address was made public by news organizations.

T.I. will be monitored 24 hours a day by a private monitoring service that he must pay for. That monitor will search visitors who are on a list pre-approved by the judge.

He is restricted to the home except under limited circumstances, including medical appointments and court appearances. He cannot own any firearms and cannot have contact with any witnesses or informants in the case.

Tameka "Tiny" Cottle gave a brief statement to SOHH Gyant as she left the courtroom today, saying she was "happy" that T.I. was freed. In addition to Tiny, T.I.'s mother, other family members, Grand Hustle execs, and rapper Young Dro were in the courtroom.

T.I.'s trial is reportedly set to begin in one week meaning he may only have a short time to enjoy the comforts of home.

Acoording to blogger report, T.I. was pissed when a fan launched a cup at the rapper during a performance at an ESPY pre-party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Tuesday night. We're told T.I. was so upset, he jumped off the stage, leaping over stars like Brody Jenner and the Duff sisters to confront the person face-to-face. When he got to suspected tumbler tosser, T.I. allegedly struck the individual with his microphone, and the bloody patron was quickly escorted out of the hotel. Calls to T.I.'s reps were not immediately returned. I got the video of the incident for y'all!!"You kno what it is"!!

The preliminary final sales figures for TI's 5th studio CD "T.I. vs T.I.P." are in. According to the wildly inaccurate Hits Daily Double, TI did very well pushing 465,984 in the first week. Again, these are Hits Daily Double's final numbers which means they could be - and often are - way off base. Billboard which gets its numbers from Soundscan will post the final, accurate sales figures tomorrow.

Mizz Shyneka of HOT 107.9's reports that TIP and Ludacris' manager and business partner Chaka Zulu exchanged words and blows in L.A. tonight. The fisticuffs occurred less than two weeks after TIP declared he should have won the 2007 Grammy for Best Rap Album over Ludacris. According to reports, Chaka and TIP attended a charity benefit thrown by Kevin Liles in L.A. leading up to the BET Awards. June 11, 2007 - There are a lot of rappers and hip-hop artists who have come under fire for explicit lyrics. One of those rappers paid a visit to a West Philadelphia school to tell students violence, sex and prison life are things to stay away from ... not aspire to. Kids are used to seeing rapper T.I. in music videos. So there were screams when he grabbed the microphone at Harambee Charter School in West Philadelphia, and told the pre-teens to aim high. "When you leave out your house and go through your day, you see more people who don't go to school than who do go to school. But that don't make it right," T.I. told the students. T.I. grew up in a rough part of Atlanta, dropping out of high school and doing prison time for drugs. T.I. said, "I was a misguided youth myself. So whatever I can do to help them out, to help out the hood, I got to be the first in line." Beyond staying in school, T.I. told the kids that the life they see in rap videos - with its drugs, the prison life, the violence, the sex - it's not something to aspire to; it's something to stay away from. T.I. told the kids, "Ain't nothing lame, ain't nothing punkish about being smart. Ain't nothing punkish about being 25, 26, 28 and never had a run in with the law. That don't make you a punk man. That makes you a winner." Still, today kids were singing along to violent T.I. lyrics like, "Bring 'em out, bring 'em out. It's hard to talk when the barrel's in your mouth." But he disavowed raps like that as cartoonish and meant to sell records, not something to imitate. The kids said they got the message. Seventh grader Shahajan McCaskill told us the main thing he took away from T.I. is, "Stay in school. It was already in my mind, but he helped me realize it more." "If only one of y'all walk away and say I didn't even look at it like that. I'm a start handling myself different. If I can get that from just one of y'all, then my job is done. I'm cool," said T.I. After losing the 2007 Grammy for Best Rap Album to Ludacris, TI had nothing but superlatives for the fellow Atlanta resident. But now that T.I. vs. T.I.P. is set to drop on July 3rd, TI is speaking up. "I had the album of the year whether I won a Grammy for it or not, said TI in an interview with WENN. "I think numbers show that. I think that if you go out to anybody on the streets and ask them, they’ll tell you."

"Good Morning Mrs. Rose,As I have been a longtime fan of you and your work, I was browsing the site and came across some shots of T.I. I know you normally have a section allocated to fans and their favorite celebrities. Well, last week T.I. performed at a college up by me, which is in Hartford, Connecticut. And a very dear and close friend of mine was able to meet him. Her name is Ciara and she was diagnosed with MS in July of 2006 after not knowing what she suffered from for three years. It is so far progressed that doctors say they can't do anything else for her. She has been hospitalized since July and was recently able to get a daypass to see T.I. in concert! This was so exciting for her and her many friends and family. With that being said, the picture of her and T.I. is attached and it would be great if in the upcoming weeks you could feature her on your website with T.I.'s approval. An Atlantic Records rep confirmed today that T.I. will headline the 6th installment of the wildly successful SCREAM Tour series.Michael Mauldin of Mauldin Brand, producer and original creator of the SCREAM Tour, has assembled a stellar cast of stars to rock this year's tour which is set to begin July 26 and continue through the Fall. "This commitment was first of many from the joint venture between Atlantic Records and Michael Mauldin with the newly established "SCREAM Star Entertainment."According to my source, the list of stars tentatively scheduled to perform includes Ciara and Akon to co-headline along with Omarion, Yung Joc, B5 and Lloyd.If the lineup holds up, expect SCREAM Tour 6 to sell out everywhere when tickets go on sale. It wasn't hers!!!

I just got off the phone with Tameka "Tiny" Cottle who spoke to me from her home in Atlanta.

By now you've probably seen the photos on the web showing Tiny, who is obviously pregnant, at a party holding an alcholic beverage in her hand. Tiny assured me that the wine wasn't hers. She also said the scene was not inside a nightclub, it was at the private home of Atlanta entertainment attorney, Charles Mathis.

"Charles Mathis gave Tip a big ol' giant bottle of wine as a gift - they're both wine fanatics - and Tip said, 'What am I gonna do with this big bottle? Let's open it and drink it. Here, pass it on to your homegirl,'" recalls Tiny. "I was holding [the wine] for the girl next to me, Monica, and she had something in her hand. The photographer asked if he could take a picture and I was holding the glass, but it wasn't mine. I guess he snapped a pic of me. I had a glass of Sprite sitting down beside me. I haven't seen [the pictures] but my girlfriend called me and told me about it and as soon as she described it, I knew exactly what she was talking about."

So, there you have it. Tiny's fans know she would never drink alcohol while she's pregnant. This isn't even the reason I called though. I called to speak to Tiny's mom, Dianne Cottle, who is so nice to talk to. She has so much wisdom and insight, and she loves to speak with Tiny's fans.

During our conversation, I brought up the fact that my readers were emailing me those pics. And Dianne said, "Do you want to talk to Tiny? She's right here." When Tiny came to the phone, I realized I had never heard her phone voice before. She sounded so cute on the phone. I'm happy that I was able to talk with her personally to clear that controversy up for her many fans who were concerned about her.

We also talked about her Tiny's dad and his group The Tams who will be performing in Atlanta on March 31st. And we talked about her daughter Zonnique and the different projects she has coming up. I'll keep you informed as I get more info.
